Warehousing investments help customer manage production targets, lead times

When a grocery manufacturing and processing customer established a green field manufacturing plant in Bahrain as part of its expansion plan, Agility made investments to show our level of commitment. Agility built additional warehousing facilities in Bahrain and expanded our transportation fleet to support the customer’s increased production. To minimize production stoppages at the plant, Agility tailored its warehouse operations to meet the customer’s specific manufacturing and transportation requirements, as well as re-engineered the supply chain to better manage inventories of raw materials through to the finished product. As a result, the customer was able to meet its production volume targets and respond to fluctuating market demand while optimizing transportation lead times in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, especially when sales built up during the pre-Ramadan period.
