German multinational plastics firm shrinks manpower, increases efficiency with EDI integration

A market leader in the production of rigid plastic film for packaging operations in 12 countries on four continents with 18 production sites wanted to reduce service providers, transport costs and overall workload. Agility proposed an efficiency solution based on geographical country zones, allowing the client to have more accurate and competitive international costs. We implemented a management control tower in Portugal and three operational control towers in Portugal, Spain and Germany, close to the customer’s sites. Agility was able to reduce manpower by one, decrease workload and speed processed with EDI integration. Now, EDI powers the receipt of transport orders, provides physical and digital POD status, and electronically manages auto-invoicing.
